Noctave
Notes of light to learn the piano again, all the way to the score.
In short
Noctave is an Android app to learn the piano: notes fall as light towards the keyboard, like in a rhythm game, then fade little by little to make room for the real score, synchronised above. The goal isn't to follow colours, but to read music again.
You play on a real digital piano or a MIDI keyboard, over USB or Bluetooth (from 25 to 88 keys, with versions adapted to small keyboards), or with your fingertips on the screen to try. A journey of 116 levels leads from the first notes to Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu; a learning mode (wait mode, tempo, loop, separate hands, fingerings) and note reading in 14 steps complete the game.
Noctave is free for the first three chapters, without ads; Noctave Plus opens everything else for €24.99, once, with no subscription. It works offline and without an account, and contains no analytics or advertising tools.
